Review of Victor J. Daley (A Life), by Frank Molloy
Abstract
The research evidenced in Frank Molloy's Victor J. Daley (A Life) is of the kind which exists at the heart of contemporary Irish-Australian Studies, and can best be defined as both excavation and reclamation: excavation because Molloy has meticulously researched the life of Daley and, in so doing, has corrected existing mis-information about his life (such as that Daley was not christened 'Victor', and was actually born in Navan, County Armagh rather than in Navan, County Meath); and reclamation.
